Schwechat Does School I: academia nova – Extra Occupational Technical Highschool Studies.
In order to add an important further facet to the training offered in the Schwechat municipality, within eSchwechat.at an
extra occupational technical highschool for Information Technology (Höhere Lehranstalt für Berufstätige für Informationstechnologie) coupled to an extra occupational course of lectures for Information Technology (Kolleg für Berufstätige für Informationstechnologie), both offered in evening classes, was established.
This teaching institution, which went operational in winter semester 2006 is be run as a private school under public law. It is integrated into
academia nova.
Entry requirements for the technical highschool are 17 years of age and the completion of an apprenticeship, for the course of lectures A-levels or a highschool diploma (or their equivalent), proof of suitability to study or a relevant specialist college training.
One stays at the technical highschool for eight semesters and graduates with a diploma or A-level equivalent qualification, to finish the course of lectures, one needs six semesters and graduates with a diploma.
