Town Twinning: Results Unite. Unity Results!
One of the aims of eSchwechat.at is to strengthen the internationalisation of the town and its businesses, something which brings with it new opportunities.
This is how town twinning will be sealed, out of which innovative projects might grow in the form of cooperation between the towns and the ICT/R&D institutions and businesses based there. The town twinning will also see 
school partnerships being launched, which is of course but a short step away from the personal level of social exchange and getting to know one another.
The first town partnership was started in February 2005 with the Finnish city of 
Vantaa, with the visit of a delegation to Schwechat and consolidated by a reciprocal visit in November. This collaboration should – along with the school projects that have already started – in the future see innovative systems and products developed and tested. eHealthcare / eHomecare is a central theme here too. With this aim in mind, a partnership has already been started between both technology centres: concorde technology center schwechat (concorde.tcs) and Technopolis Vantaa.
